Helping You Maintain Excellence and Efficiency

Achieving creative and functional excellence in every prosthetic case that you deliver is critical to your success. Putting procedural systems in place is essential to ensure that your quality design and consistent craftsmanship are results that are delivered with every case.

As a manufacturer we understand the critical importance of assuring quality in the products that exit the door. SS White’s carbide and diamond instruments deliver the precision and performance you expect.

Discover how the SS White Express Line High-Speed Metal Finishing Technique incorporates use of SS White Express Line Series of friction grip dental laboratory burs to add timesaving efficiency to your bottom line while reducing the associated physical stress of metal finishing.

SS White® Wrap-Around Diamond Discs can be used on ceramics, acrylics and plaster and are ideal for temporary crown and bridge material and orthodontic stripping.

The SS White® Diamond Abrasive model trimming wheel features a medium grit diamond cutting surface to provide a smoother finish than comparable coarse grit wheels.

Powerful Cutting Performance

Carefully designed blade structure, rake angle, flute depth and spiral angulation combined with our specially formulated tungsten carbide results in the powerful cutting performance of our burs. SS White® burs are engineered to deliver the most efficient cutting rate & performance for the most popular procedures.

What makes a blade sharper and last longer?

SS White carbide cutting heads are made with high quality fine-grain tungsten carbide, which produces a blade that is sharper and wears longer compared to less expensive coarse grain tungsten carbide. Blades made of fine grain tungsten carbide, retain shape even as they wear. Less expensive, large particle tungsten carbide dulls quickly as the large particles break from the blade or cutting edge. Many carbide manufacturers use inexpensive tool steel for the carbide bur shank material. For shank construction, SS White uses surgical grade stainless steel, which resists corrosion during sterilization processes used in the dental office.

Maximum Strength & Durability

Proper selection of tungsten carbide and high quality steel combined with a specialized heat treatment process and controlled welding operation creates the optimum conditions required to attain the impressive strength and durability of an SS White® bur.

What are the technical requirements for a quality carbide?

SS White adheres to strict tolerances for concentricity of shank and head profiles during manufacturing. The result is a well-balanced carbide that: delivers minimal vibration when subjected to the rotational speeds of the dental handpiece and maximizes comfort for the patient and the clinician.

SS White is able to deliver instruments with: powerful cutting performance, maximum strength and durability and consistent quality by adhering to the 5 technical requirements for quality in manufactured carbide burs: High grade of raw materials; Blade design and angles; Type of weld or solder joint; Concentricity of the bur; and Quality Control.

Consistent Quality

You can depend on the consistent quality of a SS White® bur… in all ways, always. SS White® is ISO 13485, EN46001 and CE Mark Certified which means an SS White® bur is manufactured to the highest quality standards. It signifies that outside independent evaluators have examined the manufacturer’s plant, processes, and standards and have found them up to date and compliant. SS White Burs Incorporated maintains its status among an elite group of companies that have achieved world-class quality within their organization by meeting the requirements of ISO 13485 and MDD 93/42 EEC.
